Officially wanted to check in with the community, it's really exciting to be here and really surprising to see how active this forum is!
First off, a huge thank you to MJ DeMarco for his valuable contributions. I finished The Millionaire Fastlane at the beginning of summer, and man is that book filled with golden nuggets of knowledge!
My name's Jay, I'm from Toronto Canada. I started my first online business when I was in middle school, and eventually worked my way up to selling it right before university. As a naive young teen, I got sucked into believing in the slowlaner's pipeline... graduate school, get an entry-level position, and grind your way up the corporate ladder.
Now in my mid-20s, I was able to successfully climb that corporate ladder to a director-level position at a tech startup. However, I couldn't help but feel like a horse being led on with a dangling carrot. I've been able to develop practical high-value skills and really prove myself during my early 20s, but I've been ready for a change. My roots as a teen entrepreneur are calling my name, and I'm currently working on building out my Fastlane future.
I'm thrilled to be a part of a community of like-minded people and looking forward to contributing and learning together!
