I can't help but think about Mj's words in his book about the choices we make. This is just an example. One of my friends was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday morning. He was one of the best Heavy metal singers in Michigan and his dream was to make a record label. He was on his way the last few years to making that dream come alive.
The only problem is he made reckless choices along the way. I saw this back in 2010 when I met him. He threw it all away in one moment because his brothers car was stolen. He got on his motor cycle and tried to take justice in his own hands. Knowing Jake, he thought he was doing the right thing. At the same time he lost his life wiping out and crashing. There is an investigation to see what happen, and know one knows what exactly happen. Those thieves have not been caught.
I don't know all the facts at this time because it happen back in the U.S. The news is devastating since he's 25 years old. He wanted that dream to be a singer more than anything. His temper, anger, frustration, and rage led him down a deathly path. Was it worth it in the end to leave his daughter and girlfriend behind, all his fans, friends, and family, over someone that needed to steal his life more than a car?
It brings my attention to the choices we make. Out of emotion and feelings we react without thinking about the consequences. Life is short. The dream doesn't seem so important at this moment, or the money. It comes down to the fact a friend with a lot of talent writing lyrics and singing is gone. He inspired people and motivated them to change.
My dream of being a writer doesn't even seem as important. Life is so much more important! One choice can end it all. The only thing we have left is the memories. Life has no price tag. Life can't be bought. All the money in the world can never bring Jake back. He failed for the last time making the wrong choice out of anger and rage.
