Hello, everyone! Happy to have found this forum, been lurking for a few days and I look forward to joining in on your discussions. I'm 20 years old from Canada and I plan to become as successful as the best here!
Quick background: Young guy from the rich part of Canada (Alberta) looking to become an entrepreneur. Ever since I was a kid I had a dislike towards school, authorities, rules and the 'normal path'. I'm pretty observant and would like to live unique life. I already know what the path is like (school ---> work ---> retire...maybe). That may seem pretty comfortable, but it's not what I desire! I want to live life to the fullest, even if that means my relationship with my overbearing father is completely destroyed (hes a professor, wants me to go to school, that's all he seems to care about). It sucks being told I am a delusional kid with outrageous dreams, that is why I keep pretty much everything to myself. Get rich or die trying I suppose.
Now, business talk. Right now I am about to get laid off from a grocery store (closing down because we are a monopoly govt says. silly huh) I'm about to purchase my first car and land a job that pays over $15/hr... lots of jobs here. y plan right now is to acquire as much knowledge about business as I can while I put money away each month for my first venture. I'm going to stay at home until I can juggle self-employed work and rent. I'm doing my private pilot license which at this point will cost $10,000.
Any advice for a starter would be fantastic! Then perhaps I can pass my knowledge to the newcomers
