Okay, this is my way of planning, below is a list of goals I have set for the next year.
My name is Will Lavallee, I am from Castlegar, British Columbia, and I am nineteen years old. As an aspiring real estate developer who is in pursuit of a masters in Finance, I am moving in the fast lane.
Over the next year,
I would like to network through:
Blogging at Will Lavallee (will probably answer questions and go through case studies in my textbook about Human Resources, and Marketing)
Forums
Facebook
College
Urban Land Institute
Ayn Rand Institute
Center for Advancement of Capitalism.
Attending City Council Meetings
I would like to get involved in my community:
Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity
I would like to spend less by:
Packing a lunch
Taking the transit
Selling my car (Its just a money pit right now)
I would like to make more money and gain experience relevant to real estate development by:
Working as a carpenter again in Fort McMurray during the summer
Investing in real estate with lease options
Developing property (I think I have lots of good ideas for this)
Making a website with a friend
I would like to manage my time better by:
Only spending one hour a day on the internet (this is tough!)
Studying at school (instead of talking to friends or playing foosball for hours)
Turning off the TV (I don`t like it much anyways)
Reading more
I would like to maintain a minimum 3.66 GPA, and become a Designated Human Resources Professional by September.

I have contacted the local affiliate with a development fee waiver that I have negotiated with local politicians. I would like to make a big difference in the organization and see that its soft costs are dramatically reduced as a waiver like the one I am negotiating can be implemented across the country. I also think that soft costs can be reduced by partnering with other non-profits and sharing architectural plans.

Sell shares of ourselves, for the shares people will get a percent of our future revenue stream, and a piece of our graduation gown.

I have finished reading The Selfish Gene, The God Dilusion, Pale Blue Dot, Atlas Shrugged, The Capitalist Manifesto, Real Estate Development: Principals and Processes 3rd Ed., Lone Survivor, and 15 Days: Stories of Bravery, Friendship, Life and Death from Inside the New Canadian Army. I recommend all of them to everyone.
