When you're new on the entrepreneurship journey, the most profitable activity you can engage in is not action, but learning.
Look at it this way, if you're new to the idea of making money outside of a typical slowlane scenario (see: a 9 - 5 or W-2 job), and you decide to just jump right into making money without being educated first, you will make all kinds of mistakes. You'll buy properties to flip and do a terrible remodeling job, likely making the house look worse than it started. You'll write articles online and your lack of education and/or experience will be readily apparent. You'll invest in crypto, etc., etc.
As I began reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching "documentaries" (Youtube videos, I'm ashamed to admit; albeit from high-quality creators like Andrew Huberman, Alex Hormozi, et al.), I noticed this word being tossed around a bunch. This word is "value."
As a philosopher and a thinking being in general, it's important to drill down on the definitions, and so we should discuss what the best definition of this word is. I've formulated some possible answers to this puzzling question. Is the definition:
Creating something people would gladly pay you for?
Improving the quality of people's lives, whether paid or not?
Is it a physical product? A mental product (such as a transformational piece of writing that motivates people to action or positively changes their way of thinking, or an educational documentary, or some form of content that someone perceives as worthy of attention)?

When I first joined this forum, I enjoyed the idea of the "Value/Post" ratio, and decided a test of the value I provide (in this specific instance, my posts on the Fastlane Forums) to the marketplace (the people reading my posts and voting on their worthiness through reactions such as likes and emoticons) would be to achieve a Value/Post Ratio in the range of 350% - 400%. I think with my level of experience and list of skills this should be a reasonable goal.
However, in order to achieve this ratio, it's important to truly understand what "value" is. What does the community think? How do you use, apply, and consider the term in your own life and business? How do you use the concept to grow, both in your business and personally?
