It's time to get out of the slow lane, and I'm giving myself until the end of September to accomplish this. My boring life story is here.
Why September? There's a perfect storm brewing at my corporate slowlane job, and if I can't make enough progress in 3 months, frankly I deserve my slowlane life.
Why am I here? I've read more entrepreneurial and business materials than a dual Master's grad. I remember little and have practiced none. The only book that stood and still stands out to me is this one. It rang true to me, but I didn't have enough responsibility to understand it was up to make the changes I wanted.
Overarching goal -
What do I want? To be in the Fastlane.
How am I going to do it? By busting my butt and adding value wherever I possibly can.
Caveat - it has been years since reading TMF . That is goal number one. The following will likely change as I re-read TMF
Action steps for the rest of this month:
Dig out TMF and absorb it.
I'm reading Victor Pride's 30 Days of Discipline today and will officially start that tomorrow.
I'll finish the CodeAcademy Python course by the end of the month (I know there's a code or outsource debate
)
What I have at my disposal, but am not limited to:
C-corp and FFL/SOT license
Website with passive $15/month affiliate sales
Experience
ecommerce, affiliate sales, marketing, web development, indirect/email marketing, pre-healthcare industry, firearms
Half written book on indirect marketing
A 8-5 that keeps me fed and housed
A chauffer to take me too and from work so I can do this in rush hour (serious)
Foggy 3 month projection (see the caveat!)
Finish the book
Get my affiliate sales up
Get a dropshipping program going
New website venture with my Python learning - not sure how much of this I will disclose
My question to the audience - what should my accountability be? Punishment for not meeting my goals?
