hi fastlaners
i haven't been here in a while since i've been fixing my life after reading TMF . i feel every part of me is up to a baseline level where i'm ready to proceed in life (i'm 18 btw), except for my body. i'm real skinny, and occasionally i get comments on it. at this point it is my only insecurity i have left. i've decided to start building muscle and all i've learned is i feel like it's impossible to start.
everyone has some new secret that no one wants you to know, you're doing it wrong and they'll show you the right way, and ultimately everything is complicated and convoluted due to the commoditization of fitness.
my main problem is that there is so much to learn and take in from people who may not have your best intentions in mind, that it's just hard to start. "if you want to be ripped, just buy my workout plan only 29.95!" also i just hate the whole fitness vibe from everyone that's super obnoxious and annoying. recently i found a youtube channel by a guy who just makes these natural at home bodybuilding videos with a nice calm demeanor and tone the whole time, no crazy loud obnoxious gymbro stuff. his channel exploded rather fast, and every comment section has at least one comment saying "omg wow i love that these videos are so calm and straight to the point no bs". so clearly i am not the only one annoyed with the gymbro thing.
essentially, i just would like to create a calm and simple natural at-home bodybuilding app. simple free workout plans, with a very intuitive interface, and most importantly an intuitive workout section which essentially allows you to just place your phone somewhere, turn off your brain for 20-30 minutes and follow everything step by step without a single need for thought. the idea is to remove as much barrier between actually doing the workout by removing all the need for thinking about to what to do and stuff. just open the app, press a button, and follow the instructions till you're done. zero BS.
as far as business goes, seems like it follows CENTs pretty well but i'm not really sure how to sell it. i think being paid is a barrier to entry which kind of defeats the point, and excessive ads are annoying for the user, and from what i've heard don't generate that much revenue. this app should be entirely offline so no need for servers or anything; it will have essentially zero operating cost aside from my time making it. i'm not that concerned with making money really, just wanna make something that will help people. as for me, it would be a great thing to put on my resume, as well at least earning me some hundreds or so a month while in college.
overall, seems like a useful app that people would like. i didn't wanna make this post too long by giving every single detail of my vision, so know that there is much that i left out.
