First post. Just want to say The Millionaire Fastlane gave me more clarity on how to succeed than any other book, podcast, or website. Shook up my whole game plan!
I'm an artist, currently selling limited edition prints, which you can see here: http://thorntonartstudio.com/collections/gallery
I own a large format printer, and produce and ship the prints myself. Although I've had more success than most artists, it's certainly not Fastlane...at all!
It's clear to me that, as far as profiting from my own art, licensing designs to companies who already sell printed products is the only format that meets all the commandments. The weakest point being control, so I will be focused on that in the agreements.
Although the book also has me thinking bigger, this will be a good bridge to the next level.
So all year I've been working on new designs, product mockups, and learning how to pitch the products as filling a missing need in the market. Also thinking of ways to eliminate risk for the companies through pre-sales.
Going all in, because it's obvious now. Just want to say thanks to MJ and the forum members as well! Lots of great info here. Cheers
