I am always confused when creating logos. I have heard a great logo should be just as effective in black and white as in color which i agree with. We also know some of the best logos are nike and ibm. These are symbols reflecting the company or company name. I have heard though it takes too much money to reinforce this into a consumers head so if you are a smaller company you should explain right in your logo what it is you do. For example look at the fastlanes logo, it has a road in it....
Does everyone agree that for smaller companies you should stay with a descriptive logo and not something simple and clean like ibm or nike?
Do you agree that if your company builds houses you should have a roof top in it instead of just having letters BLC for example with a slash through it or something like that?
Which would you choose for your small biz?
