Before I start this thread I like to give you a quote from the book The One Thing by Gary Keller:
The problem you have isn't knowing what to do. If you've read all 3 books, you know 100% what the F*ck you need to do. It is that you aren't focused enough.
You need a goal big enough and then use the 10/5/1 approach to dissect it.
Dissect your goal into the smallest task you could possibly have and forget the rest of the task you could do.
You should always just focus on ONE THING and not the 100 tasks that lie ahead.
It is like a video game. Asking yourself what it is going to feel like to be at level 100 isn't going to help you. You still need to reach levels 1, 2, 3, and so on.
So if your goal is to make $10 million a day, you shouldn't think about that goal at all but the tiniest step towards it (hence using 10/5/1).
What could be the tiniest task you could do?
Turn up your computer and search for a need (Level 1).
Found a need?
Search for a solution for this problem (Level 2).
Found a solution?
Start creating an outline of your prototype (Level 3).
The problem isn't that you are thinking too small but too big.
Thinking of registering an LLC without even having a product is just nonsense.
So focus on the smallest thing you could do today and do it.
It's that freaking simple. You don't need to be a genius for that.
Have a nice day.
The challenge is that life doesn't line everything up for us and say,
"Here's where you should start."
Highly successful people know this.
So every day they line up their priorities anew, find the lead domino, and whack away at it until it falls.
