So if you were to read a book teaching quick marketing tips listed one after another, which would you prefer:
1- Tips listed one after another brief and to the point
2- Tip in bold, followed by a story outlining the example?
3- Same as 2, with a picture.
Examples below:
1- "People act (purchase) based on emotion, and then justify their decision with logic"
2- "People act (purchase) based on emotion, and then justify their decision with logic"
So it is time to go car shopping. You're current car seems to be going into the shop on a monthly basis, and you want something new. You make a list of vehicles in your price range with: Good gas mileage, enough room for your friends, reliability, blah blah blah. The ford taurus looks like a good option. You walk into the dealership with your list of options and your price in mind. You walk out with the floor model - 2012 Ford Mustang V8. You knew it was above your budget, but you will look really good in it, and with the monthly payments - you can manage to afford it if you put in a little overtime at work.
3- "People act (purchase) based on emotion, and then justify their decision with logic"

Does example #1 get the point across? or would you be more likely to buy a book with an example painted out?
