I feel like I'm at a bit of a crossroads, and if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how I can translate my skills into a Fastlane approach I would love to hear them.
Long story short, I have worked in the film, television, internet and interactive world for over a decade. I found myself working on some successful projects and with great people.
The problem is, the entertainment business, and especially post-production (which is the bulk of what I do) is in a rapid decline. Rates have plummeted and I have basically been selling my time to survive when I can. I have always been well 'liked' and 'respected', but the people I have worked for in the past have either been too successful (thereby never having to work again), have succumb to working at a job they hate in the corporate world, or are struggling to get by like me.
What I know well is video content and optimization for Youtube (I recently worked at a top Youtube network creating content for major brands). I'm trying to figure out how I can bring value to people who want to get a video presence online.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could Fastlane these skills? Consulting doesn't seem very Fastlane and video production can be extremely time consuming (ie. costly). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
