I heard MJ DeMarco's interview on the Smart Passive Income blog and I bought the book. I'm about halfway through the book...Thank you for opening my eyes. I've been stuck in the slow lane for a while and have been trying to hit the accelerator but i think my car is underpowered.
Anyway, I work a full time evening job as a support engineer for a software company and have been trying to build my computer support business during the day. I'm making more money on my own business than the night gig and I've been trying to expand my business through hiring. Since reading the book, I see that I was on somewhat of the right path, but it is the slowest option on the fast lane.
i have also dabbled in the Domain name aftermarket, but have most of the sites I own parked. I have been trying to figure out how to better monetize those domains and I think the motivation from MJ DeMarco's book and the information fromt he Smart Passive Income website is going to help me alot.
My short term goal is to expand my business by leveraging human capital (I enjoy the work and I'm already heavily invested into it). My long term goal is to develop some kind of passive income stream via internet content and get away from the night gig alltogether.
