Ok, so I had been brainstorming this weekend. It came to me that having a tutoring on demand service may be needed. Think of Uber, but for tutoring.
Sometimes my current tutor can't tutor me and I'm left clueless as to where to look for another one-- there is Craigslist and Wyzant that help you find tutors around your area. But what if we could simplify the process that would connect tutors to students via an app instantly?
There are so many startups booming right now in bringing convenience to people. For example, grocery delivery, waterless car washes on demand, etc. I think the tutoring market hasn't been touched the right way by a tech savvy person.
Wyzant is making $10M+ and I read an article that they were set to launch a mobile app in 2014 but they never did. Who knows why?
So who would use or knows others who would find tutors via an app? The payments and scheduling would all be processed on the app to make it hassle free for the tutor and student. We would obviously take a cut of tutoring costs (say 10%).
Anyways, I'd love the opinions on here!
