RIP to all the third-party client businesses which added a lot of value to users for YEARS but ultimately violated "Control" in CENTS.

TLDR: Twitter has banned third-party clients from using its API, following the unannounced block of popular apps such as Tweetbot and Twitterific. The new rules prohibit the use of Twitter's API or content to create a substitute service to Twitter's own apps.
