Hi all,
I read The Millionaire Fastlane straight out of university but have only just got round to starting on the forums. Originally from Birmingham in the UK, had a decent success with self-publishing fitness/philosophy books and have now taken the year off to go travelling with my partner (currently in Australia). Don't know any entrepeneurs or anyone who really gets the philosophy behind it. Will be getting back to the mothership near Christmas so will be going (very) hard from then on in. Must say I'm looking forward to it.
My entrepreneurial journey has been a short one (23 years old, 1 year out of university which I spent as a copywriter/SEO Analyst for a large private company - incidentally, this is where I wrote most of my books during the slow times). Even so, I'm a quick learner, and these are the things I've picked up that I think will make the difference comes game time:
- Knowing deeply (and being convinced) that what you give is what you receive is a prerequisite to success
- You should always go for the win-win - when everyone else wins along with you, your success will explode
- Ideas are worth nothing compared to planning, process and execution - nail the pre-game and work the system and you'll make the money
- Fear and failure are illusions - walk straight ahead no matter what
- One-pointedness of mind - extreme focus on the next step of the process - is the real key (Buddha: fix your mind on one thing and all can be done)
On the back of that little biography I want to say thanks to everyone who posts here on a regular basis. I've been reading in the background for a while and you guys are insane! 1 hour of reading and I've recharged my business batteries for a month.
Consequently, if there's anything I can ever do for any of you - just a chat, discussion, whatever - don't hesitate to drop me a line and we'll see what we can do.
Best of luck old sports, keep killing it.
