It's been a while since I've posted. I want to give an update, least anyone think I am no longer apart of this community.
As I write this I'm sitting in Romania, on a military installation, looking at the nearby mountain range.
I've been in Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania the past month or so participating in Operation Saber Guardian which some of you might be familiar with.
I won't be off orders until September. The National Guard has shut my service business down. It consistently pulls me away from my business, which is not automated yet. I essentially have to restart it every time I get back from the military.
I've decided to look into other business ideas due to the military, and a few other issues. I'm looking into ideas that are not brick and mortar.
MJ talks about one of the issues in his first book. With my service based company I'm limited to certain geographical locations. Which limits my potential market. Books for example can be sold all over the world. My service company can not.
He also mentions labor in his first book, among many things, that have been a problem for me that I would like to avoid with my next business.
I learned a lot from my failures and I'm proud of what I've achieved to this point. I founded my first LLC at 19 with no degree or specialized training.
I had the opportunity to network with other, more successful, business owners and I learned a lot. I've made thousands in a day, enough to get a small taste. Enough to know it's possible. I've learned about taxes and different business structures. I've learned how much of a bitch it is to find good labor and to train and pay that labor. I've learned how much of a bitch working with partners can be. I've learned about contracts and many other things I never would have understood or thought of if I had just read a book.
I turned 21 this month and it's hard to believe that it's really been that long. I know I'm young, but I see my time ticking away faster and faster. It's amazing how fast our lives tick away. One thing I know for a fact, is that I don't want to waste the small time I have sitting in some cubicle hating my life for the next 40 years or so. I'd rather fail the rest of my life, than die regretting that I never tried.
I bought MJ's new book today. I haven't been able to put it down. I'm about 100 pages into it. Good shit as expected. I've already highly recommended both books to numerous people.
It's been a while so forgive me if I misquote this. But in TMF MJ talks about reading books to change our oil. Unscripted was definitely just what I needed exactly at the time I needed it.
I'll end this post for now, I'll try and update this soon. I'll also post some pictures I took while over here.
