Using Smashwords/Goodreads

What's been your experience with Smashwords? I uploaded Friday, and while I see my book there, I don't see it on someplace like Barnes & Noble. How long does it take for it to get from Smashwords to there, or am I supposed to do something? Or am I completely confused about that process?

Same for Goodreads. What's the best way to get my books on there, and to create a profile for my pen name?

Seriously, writing is coming easy, it's all this extra stuff that's becoming a pain.
