Hi there,

I have been doing ecommerce in Europe for about 1,5 year now (bought an existing business last year) and things are going fine. However, I realised that reselling other people's stuff has it's limitations. Therefore I want to launch my own brand via private labeling.

I have found a product which:
- is leightweight and compact --> low cost handling costs (transport, storage)
- can be sourced with good profit margins
- is simple --> not a lot that can break; no manual needed

No similar products are being sold in the countries that I want to target, but they are being sold well in the USA and neighbouring EU countries. The product category also has high search volume on Google.

What I have done to research the market:
- Checked Amazon in different countries, to see what is being offered and how many reviews there are (indication of sales)
- Checked big webshops in the countries I want to sell to see what's being offered there
- Checked search volume for product category on Google Keyword Tool
- Looked at Google search results for the product category to see what kind of results I get and if I'd be difficult to rank well

Is there anything else you could recommend to research the market before investing in buying inventory and setting up my brand? Thanks for your input!
