Viral Video vs Manufacturing Theory Question

In theory how would this work? Its been blowing my mind trying to figure out how this works....

lets say you have "Product X" which you have been selling 100 of a month. Then you hire a marketing company to make a viral video that sells your product.

You have no clue the response small, large or indifferent.

That being said how do you plan ahead for manufacturing and delivering your product when normal turnaround time from order to door is a week at most.

For example the company poopourri -- they were around for years selling a little here and a little there. Then comes their viral video and boom -- 21 million views, God only knows how many orders.

How do you even remotely begin to plan for that? You have no clue the orders you will get. Then to manufacture and turn around an essential oil blend like they have takes ~ 4 weeks.

Stock a million and hope for the best? When people order tell them its 6 weeks for delivery or that you are out of stock and they cancel?
