I'm a Marijuana smoker for about 3 yrs. Not even a smoker though. I dont like the way it affects my lifestyle if I do it on a frequent basis but I do like to roll a joint here and there to take some time off.
Smoking weed makes me reeeally chill out and makes me more in contact with myself and my thoughts. Creative work is great too. Right now I'm a little high btw and It makes so much easier to write and to put things out. I even like to do productive work sometimes when I'm high.
On the other side, I feel like it 'softens' you if you do it too frequently. It kinda demotivates you to grind and enter in the hard work mentality.
Not so long ago I stopped it completely for 4 months straight to prove myself that I wasn't addicted. It certainly toughened me. Not because of the weed itself but because of the discipline and willpower.
But today I know some really successful people that smokes weed once in a while and I started to become less 'guilty' of enjoying some high times. Nowadays I'm really on momentum and It doesnt affect my productivity and results If I smoke once in a week in a planned time. I think it's about knowing how to balance things.
What do you guys think about this topic?
