What does "execution" look like?

I posted on another thread about this, but I think this deserves its OWN thread.

MJ talks about execution in his book, but I would like to discuss what execution means. So, let me create a scenario for you.....

I have a great idea....its an unfufilled need or a poorley fulfilled need that can help thousands of people....an untouched niche for the most part. I have the motivation and ambition to get off my butt and start this business idea. However, I lack knowledge/experience with web design, marketing, business planning, strategies, and all of the other components necessary to get a big project off the ground. I'm an I.T. guy who has dabled in website sign, so all of these other components are pretty much foreign to me. Is it expected that I am supposed to learn all of these other components, even though it can take years for someone to master any ONE of these skills?

After I read the book, I found myself grabbing a piece of hosting space and trying to design something in wordpress, but my ideas are all over the chart and quickly realized that there is another unfulfilled need out there.....how to execute my business idea.

So, thats my topic tonight.....where does execution take you once you have your idea that you wish to execute?
