I started working at my job that I have had now for just about 1 year. While looking through some old texts I saw one that was from April (which will be here very soon), so this got me thinking. Last year around that time is when this fastlane interest really sparked for me. I was telling myself last year "I know I will be out of this job by in a year from now".
On a little side note, my plans have changed in the fact that I went from thinking that I would be working at this car wash until my fastlane plan took off, but now since I got back into youtube and things are looking really good. :icon_super: (Sometimes getting 26 subs a day as opposed to, 1, or 3 like they were back in november. Oh and, since I started fresh on youtube in December by upload trolling content, my channel has f*cking EXPLODED) So I've decided I can, and will work on both. Youtube, and the advertising website. While I did and do, youtube for fun, now I am beginning to get a taste of the other side where the grass is a bit greener. STILL do what you love, just with more $$. My problem is not that I am failing, but that there must be something I am doing wrong. Depending on who you are, a year goes by VERY fast or VERY slow. For me, it has been fast... and as you all say- time is very precious. So while I look back and say "Man, what was I think a year ago. WHERE did all the time go!?", I need to understand what I have been doing wrong.
People tell me patience is a virtue, but the people who say that usually have nothing going for them. They wait, and wait, and wait for opportunity to knock... but does it really ever knock? Doesn't opportunity seem more promising when you know you can get to it faster by finding it yourself.
So has time just not been on my side (I know, I know, Rod Stewart Lyrics) or is it that I haven't been working hard enough?
The original Idea though was to ask people if they have had this feeling too. Where you look back from where you were last year and built up an untamed frustration that makes you wondering WTF you've been doing this entire time.
Edit: One last thing.
Another thing that comes to mind is when you hear people speaking of ways to make money fast. I've read some of your stories and seen that some of you really can get businesses up in a couple of months, but usually it's not enough to quit your job in such a short time period. It makes me think that maybe if you really want to achieve something big, and make it worth while, and start making a living off of something you ENJOY doing... that it can't always be in a year, or 6 months. Like, the payoff for such a thing needs to take some time? Or is that the lazy mans excuse.
