I am 45 year old now, let me say this life is definitely a full blown roller coaster. I am not going to boar you with the rags to riches story we all have them but i will give you bullets by age.
Age
17-24 Party all night work during the day. i was working for my father's company i had the life. before that we had little money but he made it big. and when i was 17 my sister was killed in a car accident and this effected my father big time and my relationship, i basically group up with no father.
at 24 i got married and was married for 6 years then a divorce but during that time my father made me buy the business from him for a lot of money he did not believe in giving us anything for free even though i was his only son. so at 24 i was millions in debt.
24-30 During this period the businnes went down like a rock the person my father left to run the business was not very good and we lost 50% of sales and we stated to lose money.
30- Devorce was done and i took over the business at a last ditch effert to save it. i managed to servive for 10 years with some cash infusion and some good years but it was never th same. During that time my brother in law and i started a Back office business for importers which he ran and this was a result that we had to reduce overhead due to declining sales. This business is still very stong today we do around $400 mill in billings. he runs it and i am just his partner and idea man.
40- until now, i got up 1 day andsold the import business payed off all the depts we had and started the relaestate and investment compan i have today along with my brother inlaw and a new partner. In the 5 years we have this buiness we have bought 20 comercial properties and mange another 10 properties. i made sure that we had a realestate management arm.
This has not been all fun and games i have been threw it all the 4D's i call it
Death,Drugs,Devorce, Depression.
I also give back i was the president of a charity orginazation helping people start a business or help solve a big business problem there is network of 500 very successfull business men that we know.
I am always looking to give back to people because my father offered no help to me or anyone so i am making up for his misgivings. If anyone wants my help i am always around to talk there is nothing i have not seen.
Today i have a wife who would have been a big time fashion model but wanted to be a mom instead we have 4 kids together and some nice goodies and she still looks the same slim 5'10" girl i married years ago. We still go out and party and travel a lot i do take the kids most palces.
I wake every day still and say i have to make it its my drive i guess i love to work i love to play golf i love to travel i have a nice car collection for living in NY. i still like to flirt but never touch any one others then my wife, her and i are best friends we go to all the coolest places and are invited to some of the best parties in NY. The only bad thing about this is that i have to go to 50 weddings a year and close to 100 other parties somnetimes 2 a night and 2 a day on weekends, she likes it.
