OK I am going to actually try something new. I have been able to sell virtual things... in a niche that is.... well... let's say is not flowing with popularity. I think I am going to find an actual tangible product and see if I can sell it online. I mean not a bunch or a few.. but I am going to pick one product, develop a landing page, and promote and sell the crap out of it for a commission. Now I am not sure I want to do traditional affiliate marketing. I want to actually approach a company and let them know what I am doing and see if I can work out some sort of sales rep commission deal.

Once I get the product I will try this for 90 days. I will probably spend the next few weeks seeking a product or I won't start until I have moved all my crap in to my new house. I won't be able to focus if I am moving. But once I get moved in and I am spending all my time there I am going to do this and I will track my progress.

Pros:
-I don't have any start up costs to manufacture or test a product.
-I don't have to ship the product.
-All I need to do is focus on selling it.

Cons:
-It's not my product.

??

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe you personally have a product and want to give me shot at it? Or you know someone or some product already out there. Maybe I should work to find a product that just hit the market.

What do you guys think?

I do affiliate marketing and have a store and make some passive income but I wanted to get a higher markup. Maybe you are right. A higher markup is probably out of the question. Maybe depends on the company and the product. Some companies only do 5% while others do 12%

Maybe I could find a way to buy something wholesale, slap my logo on it, and resell. :eusa_clap:

why not pick a product on amazon to learn the game before pursuing a manufacturer. Then you can show them a track record of moving product and they may be more inclined to give you a sample.

I have a family co that does high end candles and may look for a web partner for affiliate and automated mass customization direct sales. Shoot me a lil info on how you would tackle that.

Contact a company that helps inventors like inventRight - Successful inventor Stephen Key helps you bring your invention or product idea to market through licensing. and see if you can find a product with great potential and buy the right or partner with the inventor.

Yikes! That's pretty lean. I'm in the process of importing some generators and am planning a 15-20% margin on the retail side...

Are these your generators?? What's your company?

They will be. I haven't created a company name yet. I should have samples in about 20 days. These are the suitcase style inverter generators like the Honda EU2000

My other business is G & E Electric

Very nice. My niche caters to the outdoors. I might be able to market this.

Sounds good. I assume I would just fill orders and you ship?
