Been doing research on corporate conferences put on by companies like Dell and many other smaller organizations. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience putting these on or knowledge of who often runs them.
My reason for asking is that we are in the development stages of completing a mobile conference app, that conferences can use to help attendees connect with each other, promote sponsor engagement through their mobile device, and help attendees navigate the conference/speaker schedule.
Now as we are going out to sell the app to the individual conferences, I wanted to see if any of my fellow fastlaners had any experience in this field that they would mind sharing. Are conferences normally put on by an internal team within the company or are they outsourced to an event company? Also if anyone has any knowledge of companies that conferences are outsourced to, that would be great if you could share.
