So I have a product that I'm currently selling online, and it's doing well.
I am buying the product from a company online that claims they offer "wholesale" pricing. However, they are based in the US and are clearly not truly wholesale. Even with that being true, I'm still making good profit off of each unit sold.
I'm under the assumption that they work with a Chinese manufacturer and then resell the product for whatever profits. I've looked into going directly to the source, but the source would mean dealing with a Chinese rep, huge minimum orders, costs of shipping/broker, etc. And I have no experience with that kind of stuff.
So....with that said. Anyone have any advice in this area?
The main issue I'm having is that I have no control. I will always be at the mercy of the company, whether this one or another, that sells the product to me. They could shut down their site, they could jack prices, they could do anything. I obviously want to protect myself from that.
