I came to a major realization today. The more I live an imbalanced life, I am not living in integrity.
The more I keep saying one thing and doing another, I am not being true to myself.
The more I break promises with myself and others, the more likely I am going to compromise every area of my life.
It is literally a symptom of a 'disease' if you think about it. If you are not living in integrity, then you are compromising your business. For example, if you procrastinate, you are not being true to yourself.
If you are not being true to yourself, why would anyone trust you to do business with you?
Here's a little challenge:
Whatever you said you're going to do, get out there and do it. Like if you set out to clean your room, then go out and prove your integrity! Prove that you are a man (or woman) of your word! If you set out to work out, then go out and do it, otherwise you'll be compromising your life and settling for mediocrity, and chances are you will have a harder time gaining people's trust. By doing the things you set out to do, you are shifting your attitude, and people will notice it. So this is not just about business, this is about being completely true to yourself.
As you do this, don't be surprised if people begin to respect you more. Don't be surprised if life and business get easier.
It's like throwing out the garbage. When you toss it out, your house doesn't smell anymore, and it makes living in your home much more pleasant. What if proving your integrity to yourself could have a dramatic impact on your business and of course your business deals?
