My name is Erwan, I am A 38 old french guy.
I did not finish the book yet but I have read around 200 pages, and this is the kind of book I needed to Give my the motivation I need to become a millionaire ;-) This is probably the best book I have ever read on the subject.
Now, if any interest, here is my story.
I worked for 10 years around software development (developer, project leader then moved on the dark side doing sales and marketing). One day, I realized I was fed-up with working for others and I decided to become a freelance. I did this for almost 5 years and the money was good (around 110k$/year). The job was nice and I used to travel around the world (visiting around 20 countries).
The main problem is that I needed to be there to get the money. Without my 50 hours of weekly work, no money. I suddenly realized that I could not go on like this for 30 more years. I stopped my freelance job and thanks to some saving money, I started to think about the meaning of my life and what I would like to do in the future.
At this time, my wife was 7 months pregnant, it was the perfect time for me to be at home all the time. Then my little daughter came and I stayed 6 more months at home enjoying life. I started several blogs around my passions (forex, guitar) but none of them hit a big success. I still manage the forex one and will do more in 2012 to make it grow (Foreign Market, sorry it's in french).
After this 8 months period without doing anything just be with my family and walking outside to think about the meaning of live, my bank account was moving to the zero level! It's was time for me to earn money. I decided to go for a 9-5 jobs with a decent salary (around 90k$/year with medical insurance and a lot of advantages). I know it's bad, and I also know I don't want to do that for the next 30 years but I will just use this job to let me build a successful business on the web. I have several ideas I need to work on to start this new website.
Finally, I would like to thank MJ for his fabulous book and hope to be part of the millionaire crowd soon !
