I know, you've probably made many of them, but the point of this thread is to dig deep into your brain cells and come up with a single mistake that was most devastating and by doing so enlighten our family of entrepreneurs.
My biggest mistake:
1. Fear of Failure Paralysis.
Robert F. Kennedy said, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” Starting a new business is scary, and isn’t for the faint-hearted. Being scared of failure and rejection is understandable, but letting yourself become incapacitated by this fear can significantly hinder your progress.
I've started my current business three months ago and was so scared of making calls that I've probably drafted like 30 different scripts without ever using them. As funny as it sounds I've spent almost 5 years working in a recruitment industry prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur and I was awarded multiple times for exceeding sales targets, but my attitude of "F*ck It - Let's Do It" was absent in my current business. I was simply too scared of ringing my clients. I was so scared that I ended up spending days at office just organizing stuff and drafting scripts.
How much did this mistake cost me? I think thousands of euros already.
How I overcame this fear:
I picked up a phone and started F*cking dialing. Within just a few weeks my business started growing and my motivation has skyrocketed! Competitors gonna have to send in the national guard if they wanna take me down now!
