As some of you are aware, I've made a few changes in my life recently. True, I've changed some actions (watch less tv, no more fast food, etc.), but more importantly I've changed the way I choose to think;
The Power Of A Positive Attitude
Most of you know that school is not my thing, but I realized that even though the institution is so antiquated, I'm still extremely lucky to have the opportunity to attend. So many people are deprived of school, this is something I would like to change in the future. Anyway, I used to complain at least once every 5 minutes... "F-this", "F-that", "Waste of time", etc. Then I came across this quote; "Try to get fromthe day, and not throughit" That statement is so powerful, and it directly correlates with having and maintaining a positive attitude. I learn at least one new thing every day.
Being Demanding VS. Having a Positive Attitude
However, there are differences between being demanding and maintaining a positive mental attitude. Whether in business or otherwise, if you have entrusted a task to someone and they don't complete it, you have a right to get angry and have an obligation to rectify the situation. Saying; "Okay, I'm sure he/she meant to do it, I'll give them another chance" will never work. Whereas taking action and being assertive/demanding "I told he/she to do it, and they didn't deliver, he/she lost my trust and now I must re-evaluate this person's role in my corporation.
Basically what I'm getting at, is that there's a time to be demanding and expectant, and yet there's always a time to think the best of your self, through a positive mental attitude.
The Final Motivator
I'm slowly reading every article in The Fast Lane. I came across Lightning's post http://www.thefastlanetomillions.com/mindset-motivation/14284-tomorrow-not-guaranteed.html about his ailing Father. It made me realize that I don't have time to waste, I don't have time to be a negative person. I only have time to strive to my highest potential and accept nothing less of myself with the time that I am given.
Thank you Lightning, and I wish the best for you and your family.
My Grades
I've never done this well before, heck I'm an A+ student lol . I've not really increased my homework time and study time, but I have changed my attitude which directly affects my productivity in school. Here they are (yes I took home ec lol...nothing wrong with learning valuable life skills lol);
Computers = 100%
Computer Journalism = 95%
Mathematics = 93%
Home Economics = 91%
Economics = 90%
Physical Education = 80%
English = 78%
French = 75%
As well, I was voted Most Likely To Rule The World...I guess that means I'm a communist/dictator :fryingpan: lol.
Make Your Motivation Accessible
I've started putting things on the walls of my room (eventually I'll post a picture). Basically I'm putting up anything of motivation, be it inspiring quotes, people, or landscapes. I even have a million dollars on my wall, which represents the networth I'm aiming for by the time I turn 21.
Create Your Bucket List
Life's short, so why not get the most out of it. I've created a list of things to complete before I die, which will constantly be improved. I invite you to make yours aswell and post any of the things that you are trying to accomplish.
Bucket List; Things to do Before I die (16+)
