i firstly would like to thank MJ for creating what is a wonderful connection of like minded people.
a bit about myself,
I'm from Adelaide (South Australia) and am currently 35. From a early age i was never happy to just work a 9-5 job for somebody else, i always wanted more, more security, more control, more freedom.
i remember a saying i heard once when i was young that i still remember to today,
"people who make 100 times more that you cant physically work 100 times more that you in a day, they work smarter, not harder"
over the years i have done a number of ventures,
i have bought and sold residential properties
i owned and operated a amusement operation (we would place arcade machines in pubs and clubs and collect the money every month) very passive income, but revenue slowed as home consoles became more powerful and iPhones etc were around with their own games.
i then sold out from that and switched to vending in shopping centres (with the plush crane machines) this was doing well and again was a passive income, would continue to make money while i was at home, but the novelty of the machines began to drop off after 3 or 4 years so again i sold off the business.
i currently own a retail store, but this is not something i will be doing long term as it 100% trades my time for money. there is nothing passive about it.
again like most people here, i have come to these forums after readings MJ's millionaire fastlane, i have lurked for a while but it is time to take some action and become involved and hopefully contribute in my own way.
