Tomorrow is Monday, here's some fire.
Now I've come across this piece of advice on many occasions paraphrased differently, but it would generally boil down to this:
"If you want to get somewhere in life, be and act as if are you already there, and your world will change accordingly."
Being a successful as an entrepreneur, or really anything in your life has more to do with who you are, and less to do with what you do.
Rather than over-thinking and trying to force your reality to deliver the results you want, you need to internalize the mindset of someone who has already achieved what you're trying to achieve.
Whether you're freelancing and trying to get clients, or you've made a product and are trying to sell it, or you run a website and are generating revenue from ads, remember this point and act accordingly:
"You are the CEO of your own business!"
You are NOT just a guy with an idea.
Your the CEO of the business which you yourself founded!!!
Every decision you make is for the best interests of your company. Not someone else's company, yours.
You have employees. They rely on your company's paychecks to eat. They're all putting in their hours to make your dream a realty, and you aren't going to let them down.
It's your duty as a CEO to lead your company to heights unimaginable to the petty. Even if 99% of people disagree with you, big deal. They aren't in the the CEO chair, they do not get to have their opinion considered.
As a CEO, you say "no" a lot. In fact, you say no so many times that you actually enjoy it.
When you're the CEO of a company, you don't have time for naysayers, whiners, complainers, and people who hold you back.
You have more important things to worry about.
You be the best CEO you can be because your company requires it. No one else sees your vision the way you do, no one else is going to work like you will.
This isn't just a passion or a hobby, it's a CALL TO DUTY!
When you meet with clients, they must be aware that they aren't just meeting with some guy, they are meeting with the CEO of your business.
Any deal you make is not just something that looks cozy to you, it's what's worthy of your business.
Everyone knows when you show up to work, you mean business. You set an example for everyone else.
If there's a problem in the business, you handle it. Everything you touch turns to gold.
Whether you're you're the only person in your business, or you have a hundred employees
put on the CEO suit~!
