Hi All,
I set up a new vacation rental listing service a few weeks back. The site is geared to vacation rental owners in mountain towns and people that would use those rentals (climbers, skiers, mountain bikers, hikers, etc...) - Mountain Town Vacation Rental.
I'm just starting to market the site with the classic bootstrapping budget. I'm not thinking this will take off anytime soon, but I plan to slowly keep working away on it and get home owners and renters to use the site. I wanted to get your advice on what would be a more compelling "cold call email". The classic press release type email or a screen shot of the home page showing some listings and a big arrow pointing to the top saying "Your Listing Here - FREE".
I'm a much more visual person and I find that unless things are well written I tend to skim through articles.
I'm trying to figure out what would be more effective and call people to action. I guess ultimately I could send out both and see what comes back from each. I always feel hesitant to hit the send button when I send something out to the masses.
This is just a rough draft of what I was thinking so the actual email would be done much better, but what do you guys think about the effect?
Thanks
