Hello everybody,
So my very first project (an e commerce niche store) has been set into action. We have our first shipment of inventory coming in within 5 weeks, and our site will be completed by then. Super excited.
My second website idea came to me while nodding off to bed one night. It's a service that does not exist yet at all, and will connect people more effectively than ever before.
The point of this thread:
I have zero experience with coding and programming, and I will be outsourcing the work on this project. However, I want to know the gist of programming to better communicate my exact specifications for the website, so I ask of you to recommend the most current and helpful books and resources on the topic of programming. I want to know which language will suit my needs best, and of course understand how quickly my outsourced help should be roughly completing.
Some additional questions:
Would you pay/hr/job or offer % of the company to the outsourced help.
Where can you find skilled programmers? What tools can I use to determine if a programmer is the real deal or not, and how can I protect myself from the programmer coding something that will make him critical to the operation of the site?
If you had the time to reply to this, I appreciate the advice immensely. I cannot wait to see how my online store does!!!!
