Hey,
I was looking for some info on biggest start-up's failures to learn and avoid similar mistakes and have found this article.
I can understand failures are hard to avoid and sooner or later everyone will say "Hello" to his failure. That's ok, we learn from them. However, when I'm looking at those amounts of cash pumped into those start-ups I can't understand that...
$40, $340, $4.7 or $135 Million. WTF?! (Like I said, we learn from failures but this is sick)
They just flooded those projects with cash, virtually right from the begging. Isn't this exactly opposite to what Fastlane is? Were they hopping to make Billions in few months or one, two years?
I know it's possible to have a great start, there is a lot of successful start-ups but giving some much money to new business is in my opinion very risky (to say this gently).
Facebook, great example of start-up on shoestring. And there is more of them.
Anyway, I was shocked by those numbers... for me it's just pure madness.
