I read the the Millionaire Fastlane about two months ago and felt like MJ DeMarco took every thought I ever had myself and put it into written text. I am glad I found someone else who thinks almost identical to me.
However, MJ Demarco never discussed the unimaginable strain of wanting to make it -- and was curious if anyone else who is trying to make it goes through the same thing.
For example, I constantly am thinking about business plans, new websites to develop, new marketing strategies, potential partners. When I am not working on something that has the potential for me to make it big I feel like I am wasting my time and I can never fully just relax.
I pretty much have no friends because when they invite me to go out I never do because I feel like I could be working on something.
There are several fun things that I want to do but keep putting them off in order to work more in hopes that one day I will be successful enough to live and do whatever I want. However, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous of some of my friends that are just content living the Slow-Lane lifestyle and going to work every day and coming home and getting to relax. I honestly don't know how to relax any more.
I have no girlfriend, no friends, no hobbies, no passions, I just work with this nagging feeling of constant pressure for not being a success yet. I'm 21 but feel like I'm going through a midlife crisis and that my parents will be too old to enjoy the success when I make it. Its frustrating....
Do all people who want to "make it" go through this? Or am I wrong? I'd love to hear from other people with similar goals.
