lmao i walked up and used both of these lines last time and was corrected and told not to use these lines as everyone is using these lines and no one wants to repeat themselves 20xIf you think about it as "networking" or "working a room," it can seem daunting. But if you think at every networking opportunity "I am going to meet two interesting people and that's it," it gets a lot easier. By the end of the weekend, you will have met a ton of people.
This always works for me and I am an intj and extreme introvert.
Here are some scripts if you want them:
"Hi, I'm _____, is this your first time at the summit?"
"Hi, I'm ______, I do ______. What's your business?"
If it seems that everyone is already talking to someone and that everyone knows everyone else, just walk up and say hi to the dude standing against the wall pretending to be really busy on his phone. He is just checking ESPN and desperately wishing he wasn't so shy. You'll have a friend for life.
