I saw the Washington, D.C. thread, and it made me think about seeing if anyone is around Charlotte/Asheville/Upstate SC that would like to meet up. We could have a mini B&P type event, or just keep it informal and put faces to names.

So, what are you guys thinking? I would be cool with meeting and just talking; a more informal thing. It looks like Morrow Lake State Park is in between Winston, Raleigh, and Charlotte; maybe we could meet up there one Saturday for a cookout or something. I am married, so I might bring my wife along, would any of yall be bringing someone else?

We can definitely do something different, just throwing out suggestions.

I'm definitely down! I live on the south side of Charlotte, but I travel to Raleigh and eastern NC during the week for work sometimes, so I can also meet up in that area if need be.

No, definitely not. I posted that in June or something. Somewhere in the Charlotte area - maybe Concord Mills or something? That way it is a little north of Charlotte for the people in the Raleigh area.

Sundays are usually good for me. Not this one, but any Sunday after. It'd be cool if it were at someplace not too crowded where we can bring laptops and papers so we can show each other what we're doing. Like an empty hotel bar or something like that. Or some kind of big coffee shop or non-crowded bookstore.

Looks like a solid option. Don't have too much to show yet, but I'm happy to help in any way that I can and chat about what I'm trying to accomplish. Anyone want to start throwing out dates? Sundays work pretty well for me too.

26th it is then! 2PM at the Concord Embassy Suites Lounge. We'll just have to be sure to buy some snacks and coffees so we're not total freeloaders.
