Just turned 19 today and I don't feel any different. Why? Because that biological birthday means nothing.
My true birthday will be the day I don't need to rely on handouts from my parents anymore. Just like John D Rockefeller forever celebrated the day he got his first job and thus his financial independence with even more enthusiasm than his birthday, I too will forever celebrate my own day of financial independence with even more zeal than my biological birthday. That day I finally achieve financial sanity.
I will post daily in this thread as long as I'm financially insane, as long as I keep relying off my parents and not myself for the bulk of my basic income. My current goal is $100/day by the end of this month via ecommerce. I've steered away from making a journey thread with a title like "Journey to $X per day/month" because I've found that those mid-level types of goals and situations change for various reasons and when they do the irrelevant title just ruins the whole thread. My goal of $100/day by this end of this month may morph and change but the goal of financial independence and sanity will not change, it's not going away until achieved and is a fact of life. Thus this thread will continue to be posted in until the day I achieve financial independence, my second birthday.
Feel free to hit me up if you'd like to network, mastermind, or chat. Otherwise, let's do this.
-------
Day 1- 5/2/17
Current Goal:
$100+/day profits for a week straight by June 1st
Current Ventures:
-a social media marketing company
-shopify dropshipping store
Earnings: $8
$8= monthly earnings from my marketing company
Summary of Today
Worked on moving forward the sale of my hat company to a friend who will do well with it. Built a hat company for 2 years, got into 3 stores, and then lost passion/vision for it. Sold it to my friend for $1000 and he will cover the shipping costs of the inventory being shipped to him. Did a workout. Decided that I wanted to move to Austin Texas after my lease ends at the end of July. Going to bed very late (1:10PM), whatever, it was a good day.
Big Items for Tomorrow:
-catch up on 4 months of accounting
-optimize dropshipping site and learn more about ecommerce dropshipping
