GEN Z.. WHAT DO THEY DO?

Lots of GenZ are now facing never seen issues.
I'm a GenZ on the road to understanding the Fastlane, I'm 21 and facing full-time job while creating opportunities for me.
I just feel a little alone, no one in my area want to "Get Rich Quick". I've planned to move from my home and I'm facing high cost with hopefully high rewards!

I'm a millennial. Out of curiosity, what are some of the never-seen issues that you face? (Maybe I'm out of touch, but then again, I'm old enough that when I was growing up, we had not just a land line, but it was the rotary kind!)

Every generation has their ups and downs.

I'm 18

The biggest thing is probably the advancement in technology. I can speak for a lot of Gen Z in that we grew up relying way too much on technology. A lot of us grow up constantly stimulated from social media and cartoons from a very young age.

And its getting worse, you can see it everywhere with iPad kids growing up with highly stimulating, brainrot inducing content. I mean theres bound to be something wrong when a developing mind grows up with constant stimulation.

The bar for success seems to be getting lower and lower as people become lazier and lazier.

Not to mention, the advent of porn as well. There's DEFINITELY going to be something wrong when 90-100% of an 18 year old's sexual interactions occur with their right hand and their phone on their left.

This one is kind of a theory, but I think loneliness is increasing drastically as well. I'm pretty sure there are social surveys showing how teen male virginity is increasing a ton, and the percentage of high schoolers who have dated is also decreasing drastically.

Anecdotally, I also agree. I think its because there are more and more loser men since its becoming easier to be a loser (and society for some reason seems to be getting more accepting of laziness and having little values). Theres also a huge gap in the dating market. There are way too many men, and way too little women. I don't know why, buts its happening.

Anyways, these are just general trends. There are still tons of Gen Z who excel in both relationships and work, so theres no point in using it as an excuse for anything, but it still exists.

In addition to difficult economic conditions there is also mental health. According to McKinsey, over half (55%) of Gen Zers report having either been diagnosed or receiving treatment for a mental health condition, compared to 31% of people aged 55 to 64.
I understand why no one cares about this, it’s lame
I feel that the “Fastlane” will help people with troubles and I’m currently in the Real Estate market.

I have good news for you.
These issues are no different to the issues I faced when growing up in the 70's and 80's. I left school in the largest recession the UK had ever faced and most school leavers couldn't get a job or even any benefits. Mental health was also an issue, but because it was never recognised, most people were told to suck it up and get on with it.

What is different today is that everyone has it constantly rammed down their throats by the media.

Stop listening to the media (including social media).
Decide what you want out of life.
Go after it with everything you have, and don't stop until you get it.

A few things:
1. You are here now, start reading and participating.
2. Mental health issues are a big deal, especially for your generation. You are the first generation that grew up in the world of smart phones and social media. You may not know if you belong in the real world or on some internet group chat masterfully curated just to get you addicted. Solution? You know it. Kill the monster while it's little. Go old school, work out, hang out, bump uglies, enjoy life on your own terms.

Oh right... about getting rich "quick" as you put it. It's not about that.

Think about life for a second. It's mostly about productivity. Say you wanted to go from your home to another city or a country (vacation/business whatever). Would you walk there? Ride a horse? No, you'd likely use a more efficient means of transportation! Airplanes are fast to get you across the world, that's why most use them.

Same with wealth and money. It's about your productivity - how good are you at generating income fast? There is an old "slow" way and and old "fast" way. None of this is new at all. It's just new to you.

Your friends and other Gen Zs you hang out with aren't different. They are just naive for the moment. But the times always change, things will get hard and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM will have wished they knew how to generate income/wealth fast. It usually happens later, when you hit some peak frustration period. It can happen when you have a family, kids and your kid looks you in the eyes and goes "daddy, mommy, why can't I go to the swimming pool" and you have to answer "because I don't have $4 for a drop in, it's the money for our milk" and you realize how you just died inside.

Lucky I experienced my event when I was in my 20s, completely on my own, foreign country, no money and a drive to survive. My family lives in luxury as a result.

For those surrounding you who don't get it, move on - get a better circle of people around you, or you too will struggle. If you can't find anyone your age, find older or younger friends. And I promise you, there are many great, smart people in every age category.

Just like a river that's on average 3 feet deep, you wouldn't want to cross it - people too, on average are _____, but individually, there are smart great friends you must find.

Now go on, read the forum, get to know people, participate and start earning your wealth the Fastlane way.

Some thoughts to help .... the GOOD thing is that you are about to walk into a world where there are not enough people to do the stuff we need to do. If you have / acquire technical skills, you will never want and will get to choose where you go and who you work with. If you leave all the script / sheep crap behind that plagued the generations before you, you will do what my grandparents did and change the world.

Get a few of you and your friends together and let's do a call? We can talk through life / ideas / etc.
Also join the Saturday call that @Subsonic is doing. Some progress being made there and you'll have me wailing on you in the related thread.

Sorry to break it to you sunshine - but you've got your diagnosis wrong.

"Difficult economic conditions" means that lights go out because we can't pay the bills, we are undernourished, and working 12 hours a day in a dangerous industrial facility.

A quick trip to Africa or Southern Asia will quickly put things into perspective.

What kind of mental health issues?

You must be new here (on planet Earth):

• Cripping anxiety
• Suicidal depression
• Digital entertainment-induced mental impairment:
  • No memory
  • No focus
  • No motivation
• Addiction to said digital entertainment + 10 other activities or substances
• Abysmal social skills, to the point of being societally dysfunctional
• Social isolation and a complete lack of meaningful human connection
• Victim mindset taught by modern culture
• Inability to enjoy life - or distinguish true joy and happiness from pleasure and entertainment

This laundry list is the only real problem the new generation is facing.

Other than that, we live in the most abundant and prosperous times in the history of human civilization.

But you can't take advantage of any of the amazing opportunities that are right in front of you if you are crippled by the aforementioned mental issues.

I actually disagree with the whole mental health thing people talk about that my generation faces

• Victim mindset taught by modern culture

I think its just being more widely recognized, and modern culture is teaching us to victimize ourselves

What used to be just a normal discipline for a young child is now somehow a "traumatic event."

A child doesn't know whats right or wrong so they look at older figures to see how they should react.

When a child first falls, it doesn't really have a reaction. They start crying when the parents coddle them and teach them that they should be crying.

This extends with everything.

What used to be something simple and minor like feeling nervous talking to someone is now "social anxiety" and its taken way too seriously. This applies with depression, anxiety, and whatever other mental health disorder we just throw out now.

Thats why I think therapy for children can be very dangerous since a child can't tell what they should feel upset about or take seriously.

The older generation was too hard on themselves in my opinion, but the younger generation is too soft now. We overreact way too much.

This is probably why people like Andrew Tate and David Goggins are getting very popular. Young men really need that masculine outlet right now.

At the end of the day, all this is showing is how powerful the mind is. What you believe to be true will probably become true, so we should be careful of our thoughts.

Im 19 and couldnt agree with this more .

it's just a hyperreality + echo chamber where no matter what happens , it isnt your fault. Scrolling on tiktok or instagram for even 5 minutes and you're presented with people saying "it's not your fault you're in the situation you are in, society is to blame, not you and your years of self neglect and lack of discipline "

no matter what you believe , your beliefs are just presented back to you in an algorithm and the victimization belief is not only EXTREMELY common but REALLY prevalent on 99% of social media sites and just spirals people down a tunnel of comforting lies .

I am a millennial who hangs out with boomers daily. I occasionally interacts with gen z.

Apart from depression I doubt the rest are “real mental illness”.

The whole “ism” doesn’t mean anything without context.

Marx has no concrete steps on how to acheive communism.

This only begins when Stalin comes up with a workable way that begins with a question :”How do you rapidly industrialize a country that is basically an agricultural society?”

The brutal solution is to put farmers in communes and force them to sell their crops to the state at a lower price, sell that to the international market to get money to buy technology and equipment for industrialisation.

The upside is that it works. Soviet Union became a industrial and technological superpower. The downside is that millions of farmers starved to death.

You're making assumptions based on no real data. For instance, which country do you live in? What are you studying or working on? This information makes a huge difference. Take some inspiration from @JaaYu, who is even younger than you.
