....when you write on your "to do" list "Pay Bills" and when you look, there are no bills!

seeing somebody you invited to an event and see they actually made it

breathing the cold air in a summer morning

eating chocolate cake and milk after dinner

when you find $10 bill in your pocket, when you had no clue it was there

Returning home from a deployment and hugging your loved ones on the tarmac.

Relaxing on a beach in Fiji with your loved ones.

Receiving a well thought out gift.

Giving to someone who is in real need.

A warm gun. bang bang shoot shoot.

Sorry couldn't resist!

Don't know if anyone else here feels this way but having Phish on tour back is certainly bringing about much happiness for me these days.

A big smile from my 2 1/2 year old.

Making a perfect roll cast with my Orvis 4wt Superfine 1oz.

A wide open road and me behind the wheel of a good Mercedes, as I open up the throttle and it pulls like a freight train deep into the triple digits, in supreme comfort and with no effort on the cars part.

Enjoying nature and its beauty, anything man creates pales in comparision.

But mostly sailing, nothing gets the blood flowing like coming up on a 60k pound boat with your 60k pound boat, trying to sneak inside a mark with 12in to spare on both sides.

Getting my Spring veggies planted 3 weeks early and seeing that the forecast says they'll make it without a freeze.

The sound of my daughter's laughter

Having a wife who is smart, gorgeous and who loves football.

The nurse who put a big shot of Dilaudin in the IV a couple weeks ago while I was flopping like a fish and shouting profanities like a drunken George Carlin with Tourette's syndrome because I had a small meteor stuck between kidney and bladder

Three Cavalier King Charles Spaniel snoring on my feet in perfect unison while I type.

Warm sun, soft breeze, good book and sea air

Knowing that I could add another 100 things to this list without thinking too hard because I genuinely enjoy life and spend most of it smiling and laughing

Did ya notice that most of the responses didn't mention money?

For me...

Sitting on the park grass with my dog on a sunny day reading a book...

Smelling the fresh air when you step outside your home...

Just being alive and knowing it

-sitting on a mountain patio with a 60 mile view. DIA to the Northern Windfarms.
-Waking up to a fresh snowfall that hasn't even been driven on.
-Coming home to a best friend that wags his tail in excitement everytime he sees you.
-That feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project around the house like building my gate.
-Watching a garden grow each and every day of the summer.

-my money related item. That first $1.97 on my blog adsense was so cool to see. Holy cow it actually works.

so many more I can't even write them all.

Happiness is looking into the eyes of the one you love and seeing your whole future, and knowing that is where you belong!

Happiness is giving when you have the least to someone who needs it more...

Happiness is loving yourself for who you truly are!

Happiness is watching a sunset on a beach (in Bulgaria) and reminicing about all the childhood memories with my family there!

Happiness is knowing that it's ok to fall, then pick yourself back up because it makes you stronger!

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is too far away, today is all we have - so LIVE it! Happiness is now!

Watching your kids learn and grow after a mistake.
Checking out your ride after a thorough wash, wax, and polish.

Great Happiness is ...

When you are hungry, you can find hot meal to eat
When you are cold, you have warm cloths to wear
When you are tired, you have a sweet home to stay

True Happiness is ...

To see people around you with smiles on their faces, when you give them all the things listed above.

I think happiness is doing what you want to do when you want to do it. Just step back and think about the way the whole world works. Go to school, go to work, get old, die. That is no way to live at all. In fact, it is extremely depressing.

The idea of having a job is kinda like being in a prison for 40 years. This is getting kinda off topic, but I believe that people should do what they want when they want and in order for that to happen people need to think outside the box and not conform to traditional standards.

- A lazy day with not a whole lot more to do than alternate between hanging out on a pontoon boat with some friends and taking a nap in a hammock.

- Camping with friends.

- Dinner parties.

- Waking up on a "chilly" New Mexico winter morning, cuddling with my dogs and hitting snooze.

- When you laugh so hard and loud you wind up losing your voice. (Happened to me twice (twice!) at the meetup.)

- Meeting up with some old friends and almost tackling them to the ground out of joy when you first see them. (You know who you are lol.)

- Getting a massage.

- The first cup of coffee in the morning.

- Watching a sunset so beautiful that it puts life in perspective.

- Encouraging someone else, and getting them to believe in a bigger and better vision for themselves and their life.

- Enjoying the process.
