I want to share my thoughts with you, and also to get support, lessons, ideas and also help.

I live in Lithuania, I am 28 years old, I have been working all my life, my only source of money is my salary. A couple of months ago I have read M.J Books a lot of theories are still in my head. Coming to my main topic : half a year ago I started to develop a product, a marketplace store where people can sell their goods (gifts) why did I choose this? Well, because every year when it comes to buying gifts, I am always faced with the problem of what kind of gift to buy/give. The trite gifts such as a planchette, a phone, you name it are very banal. I want something unique.

The website is coming to an end, in a couple of weeks I will have finished it, some kind of stage will have been completed.
Now that the end is near, I am facing obstacles:

How to attract and find people who will create and sell their own decks ?
How do I move on from the chin of death once I let it go?
How not to lose motivation when there is not much of it anyway.

Any advice you give me will be like water to a man who is thirsty.

Thank you

(sorry if i have made alot of grammar mistakes, please do not judge me.)

Who else did you talk to about this problem?
Hello , Thank you for your reply.

I have made a small survey of my circle of people. Not everyone has the same problem as me. But most of them confirmed that the gifts they would like to receive are the ones that are made with love, not the ones that were chosen in a shop window.

Some issues I see:
1. A marketplace -> This type of business is hard to establish as you need buyers and sellers, benefit from size, network effect.
2. Gifts -> Gift-giving is often seasonal and not bought on a recurring basis every week/month.
3. Excellent that you conducted a survey, however if the survey answers are from your 'circle of people' this may not reflect how the market feels as a whole. This means, if this is to succeed you may have to start with your friends/family and try to grow locally. It requires you to promote it personally.
4. Survey answers reflect something, but what people say is seldom how they act. Saying "I like this" or "I want to buy" is different from having a real need and handing over their money.

One way to pivot the platform is to make it B2B. Companies for example will buy christmas gifts for employees. It's hard to pick a gift for 100 people, so they can instead give a voucher, which can then be used on your website in exchange for many choices of gift. This is a better business model.
