I'm asking this because I really want to atleast read an real life example of how successful people work in their business, what's their routine, work ethic, how hard they want what they want, their priorities and sacrifices etc. (whatever business it may be, and I'm not asking for "business ideas", I'm interested in mindset of successful businessman and I'm tired of being a loser)

In my environment no one "works hard". Not my friends, not my parents or relatives, siblings. And no one are in a good financial situation. Same lives, year after year, nothing changes. So I don't even know what it means to ,,work hard", because I have never seen it!

I know that in order to be in a good financial situation you have to "work hard" - work 10, 11, or even 15 hours for whatever your purpose is - business, youtube etc.. and sacrifice a lot.

My questions for successful people - how do you work hard? What is your reason to work hard? What exactly you are doing so that you "work hard"? What is your work ethic?

For example, a lot of self-improvement gurus says that ''YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR YOUR BUSSINESS FOR 26 HOURS A DAY IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL"

So like what you do in those "business hours" ? Is it working in "bussiness hours" means that you basically do everything that is around your business? What you consider "I work for my business"? Or how does your routine look like?

Thank you!

This might be relevant to your question as HARD WORK is dependent on the system for which it is performed.

Tons of people work harder than I, but are rewarded less.

My "hard work" is channeled in a better system where my effort is rewarded more.

So like what you do in those "business hours" ?
I do whatever aligns with the goals I have for my business that I think will move the business closer to those goals.

I think a key point that I’ve often ignored in my entrepreneur career is enjoying the process of getting closer to your goals.

Part of that is understanding that so long as you can direct yourself towards your goal, you are complete.

It’s not the achievement of the goal itself that matters most, but rather your ability to set the goal and pursue it. I find that people who can set goals for themselves, and pursue them with all they’ve got, get both more pleasure and more achievement from their journey.

Those who cannot set goals, usually have neither achievement nor real pleasure. They’re like the people you describe.

And those who set goals, and only care about the achievement of the goal, and not the process of betterment required to get there, even if they DO somehow develop the superhuman willpower of pushing themselves to get it done will be unsatisfied — they will have achievement without any pleasure. In a certain sense, their achievement is without pleasure because fundamentally they do not care about themselves… they only care about some fictive goal, not who that goal will help them become.

Now please note that how hard you work will of course be determined by what goals you set. If your goal is to have a cushy job, a nice family, a vacation home and a dog, you’ll not work as hard as someone who pursues building a $1bn company.

And, being honest with you, the former are the goals of MOST people. Nothing wrong with that, those goals are meaningful to them, and they can live a happy life.

There are also people in war-torn countries and the like whose goals are surviving every day and taking care of their families. They can also find a form of happiness by pursuing those goals, even in the middle of tragedy.

The important point for you to realize is that human consciousness is structured to thrive by pursuing goals, regardless of how big or small they are. Regardless of what kind of life you want to lead, you’d be smart to take this into account.

These are really good points you've made.

I really like this idea of "human consciousness is structured to thrive by pursuing goals" it makes so much sense.

Maybe you know where can I learn more about this concept?

Thank you so much for your answer!

I wake up at 5am for the gym
At 7 I have breakfast

Then I manage.

I put out fires.

I train people.

I hunt for new sales.

All damn day.

Then I eat an apple and another decaf coffee and do it more.

Then I do more work.

I can list off 50 things I need to do immediately.

Here’s a list of only 5

1. Drop off the 10,000 EDDM mailers we ordered at the post office to send out
2. Get a new video filmed for our ads
3. New tabs for trucks and trailers
4. Change our sales flow automations so that at the press of a button I can have all of our leads get an outbound call from our answering service company and they schedule quotes.
5. Get new company shirts printed up for our employees.

Tonight I’ll go to bed around 10. I have to stop myself from working until 2.

I was going on a couple hours of sleep for a while until I had a f*cked up night and had a blood pressure of 179/98 and was in the ER.

So now…

I sleep 7-8 hours a night, no stimulants, no caffeine, no alcohol.

I dumped my girlfriend. No girls, no dates, no porn.

I deleted Instagram from my phone.

I have 0 loser friends.

6.5 days a week I am working from wake to sleep.

Sunday I go to church and Bible study in the middle of the day and then I go back to work for Sunday evening.

I get all my food delivered. I rarely cook.

I am not efficient enough. It pisses me off. The only fix for me is to never lose momentum.

And I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time. Pleasure is joy to the aimless. Progress is joy to the driven. I just made that up right now. I like that line.

I don’t have to do all this. I could work 4 hours a week and keep making money. But I was not given this opportunity to just sit and waste it. It’s all because I want to. I feel like Rambo being happy he finally gets to do what he’s best at. Like a hunting dog that finally gets to hunt. It feels so good to be pushed and only care about one thing. To only ever think about one thing.

Back to work. See you later fellas.

You are finding your motivation to work hard, so asking others schedules might not be most relevant.

People learn through imitation. Most people who started working hard early due to inspiration. They saw someone working insanely hard and worship them.

People who started working hard later in life due to circumstances. They work hard they have to because financial pressure is hitting on their doors.

I don’t consider myself a hardworker. But I guess the bar is getting really low these days that superficial things I do are considered hard-work these days like not playing computer games or working on weekends with no off days.

I don’t play computer games or take off days because no one pays me to do it.

Likewise I admit I don’t have the discipline to get up at 5am.

“Working hard” is largely defined by what you choose not to do. Everyone has 24 hours.

The first instance I saw hard-work getting worshipped is during my teenage years in an all boys school There are two famous guys who have a reputation for being hardworkers. One blogs about stabbing himself at 2-3am after caffeine effect starts to fade off on him after persistently drinking 4-5 cups a day. The other dude invented a way to keep himself awake while doing practice papers through drinking large amount of water and holding the bladder. Both of them received a huge respect among peers for being hardcore.

When I grow maturer and older I realize that this is completely crazy unsustainable nonsense. This leads to me to dive in the opposite direction into massive online reading and research into optimization and efficiency.

Do you find that over time cutting out those dopamine hits gets easier so now you're routine becomes second nature?

This is the benchmark for my average hardwork/day.

My "To-Do" list is my prey, I am the F*cking hunter!

Its midnight, I am in my home office working on my upcoming business! This would be my 5th enterprise along with the other profitable 3!

People under estimate and under utilize the capacity of human body!

That's all folks!

Once you realise the need for religion, you will be actually free!

I get all my food delivered. I rarely cook.

Absolutely saves time! And time is most valuable entity!

Of that I have no doubt.

I was specifically referring to what you wrote above which is a great position to be in when you wake up of a morning.
I guess it's been the byproduct of taking action consistently and not focusing or worrying about whether you should be doing something else (ie non work stuff/dopamine rewards)/
