So I spent a day sending out 100 LinkedIn connection request with customized messages. 12 accepted and I messaged each of them with this script -
"Thanks so much for connecting with me.
I like to get to know my connections a bit better and if you’re open to it, I’d love to chat for a few minutes to see if there’s any way we can refer or support each other.
Either way have a great day".
I got only 1 response and he wasn't interested.
So far, I have been rereading @Fox web design thread and got some things out of it.

If I was just getting started again, here's how I would go about it.
- Find a notable company in a larger industry with a poorly designed website.
- Find the decision maker and "try" to get authorization to redo their website... TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE. If they like it, they can use it.
- If you can't find the decision maker, DO IT ANYWAY.
- Redesign the website.
- Make sure it is your best work, and a clear improvement over the original website.
- Email the entire upper management the link of the new website -- reiterate that it is FREE and that you will change anything they want.
- Once they see the work and realize it is FREE, they will probably accept it.
- Now you have your first client -- giving you the ability to say "We recently redesigned XXX's website." -- giving you social proof with a notable company. Now you can look to start charging. If not, repeat.
- The above can be done for APPS as well. (I noticed you didn't have a mobile app?)
- At some point, it will become easier and easier to find paid work.
- Pick color of Lamborghini.
I did a quick search on electrical companies in a major state in my country and saw a lot of them use business.site for their businesses.Don't make things harder then they have to be...
Aim for big companies
with terrible websites
with clear cashflow
in obscure industries
who need help
