Sup Fastlane, haven't been here in a while,
What a year it has been! I've followed the act-assess-adjust framework for learning machine learning and relentlessly acting, and after 6 months of trying to build that which I had no knowledge to build (because you can learn along the way, of course!), I now not only have no cash to carry on, I also have no rental to pay for the next month, got basically evicted already, currently living in a hostel, and running around Dublin trying to get a job in hospitality.
...
Well anyway. I should've known better advice from low-technical entrepeneurs would lead to technical failure. Which it did.
At the moment I can't be employed in machine learning because, on one hand, I've sent ~400 resumes to companies in Ireland, UK, US, Canada and UAE, and all of them got rejected spare 1 interview because you need a Masters and/or successful projects to work here, and on the other hand, I have no house to rent for the next few days.
No family to return to either.
Anyhow.
I've ran around Dublin giving out resumes to laypeople jobs, but got no offers.

Is it stupid to give out this resume to hotels and restaurants?
Sorry for the tone, I am just a little unhappy with wasting 6-8 months following Fastlane advice (June to March). No, not the core of it, but the execution procedures. Before you can do tech, you need to study it for months at least, and when the advice is "go and of it", you do it, but it doesn't work. I'm only saying because my failure is too painful of a lesson.
Anyhow, many of you, e.g. @Johnny boy, hire labor and low-wage people. Is it stupid to try and convince them you are a little smarter?
Cheers.
Edit: obviously I've sent very different resume to software companies.
