So what is dopamine? Well dopamine is a chemical in our brain that is released when we do something pleasurable such as eating, socializing, sex etc. Now dopamine is good in controlled amounts. But when you have a dopamine over load it can cause lots of problems in your life.

The human brain is very primal and animalistic. We are cavemen at heart.
so the modern day pleasures such as social media, video games, sugar etc are still very new to us. We’ve only had the industrialized world for the last 200 years. 30,000 years ago we didn't have very much pleasurable activities or dopamine sources. So our cavemen brains tend to be overloaded and stressed when we overindulge on dopamine related activities.

Anything dopamine related can become an addiction as human are pleasure seekers. We naturally always tend to find the easiest and most comfortable path. So anything involving dopamine can become very addictive.

A lot of people think that addiction only come from things like drugs and liquor. But anything that triggers dopamine can become an addiction.

Things like social media, video games, pornography etc trigger very high levels of dopamine in your brain. Hence why were beginning to consider them addictive.

Recent studies have shown that people who consume high levels of dopamine are more likely to have higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression. Especially with younger people.

The modern day addictions such as pornography, social media, videos games and sugar are destroying people lives.

Now how does it kill your Fastlane dreams you ask. Well when you have an addiction your brain is constantly thinking about it and constantly craving it. So it’s always going to serve as a distraction. I’ve seen some people who spend upwards of 10 hours a day on video games. No joke. Or send hours scrolling though social media apps.

So how do you expect you build and work on a business when your constantly being distracted and all the modern day addictions are taking up all your time?

A dopamine detox will help you focus and concentrate better on your goals and to build a business and achieve freedom.

Now there is some self promotion here in this post. But I’d like to help anyone out who maybe dealing and having troubles kicking dopamine addiction.

I have a YouTube channel dedicated to helping people go though a dopamine detox and kick there modern day addiction.

I hope you found this post helpful and gave you a better insight on how dopamine overload destroys your life and kills your Fastlane dreams.

Wrong.

If I complete one website for a client, and it pays well, I'll still get a dopamine hit whenever the client told me that the money had already been transferred to my bank account.

If I complete editing a video on YouTube and it went viral, wouldn't that triggers a dopamine hit?

If I practice cold-calling (example only),and after 25 attempts, one prospect said yes to my proposal, my brain still produces dopamine.

All these will makes me prone to repeat the cycle but this time it's not porn, fast food, or social media etc. I'm now working towards my dreams.

Use dopamine to your own advantage. You all so-called gurus don't know shit.

Congratulations for the most scientifically inaccurate post of the day.

You cannot physically move without dopamine. Would not advise trying to "detox" from one of the most important neurotransmitters in the human body.

I find this subject interesting as dealing with my own addictions at older age than most here. I'm a classic stuck at 100k type earner and focusing on myself much more than ever before to get to 7, than 8+ figures in due time. Im seeing amazing results along with a hella grind process.

The thing I find interesting on this thread is you did slide in self promotion using a platform that is a top social media addiction. You have a bunch of videos cued up which is commendable and not trying to be a one or two video thing and walk away. I'm not against this as you are trying to help people and putting in some work. You for sure have a huge battle with credibility and why should I listen to you at all on this incredibly complex issue.

My suggestion is find a post by Fox on the random thread from like a month ago on how he changed his YouTube presentation up. And while he was way advanced when he already did this, the optimization was a boom for him with views on his already built channel. The background view in your videos needs some work to be more professional. I think you should keep at it and at worst is a great learning experience with process, creating and marketing content.

This forum is great and all, but oh boy so much let's call it opinions here and there. I take a lot of caution who do I take my advice from. This is certainly a sales pitch cut to match this community. So let me counter this with a bit more scientific opinion on that matter:

Dopmaine detox is a meme. Just work hard on your dreams. You can abstain from sugar, video games, and social media for 10 hours, but what are you doing instead? Working out? Reading? Meditating? Idea-guying? Socializing? This is another form of mental masturbation-excuse making, speaking humbly from experience ("the reason I'm not working hard is because I'm addicted to x, y, and z and I need to get rid of those first and get in a healthy routine-")

Wrong. You just need to take action.

If you spend those 10 hours passionately working on your business, you automatically don't indulge in addictions anyway. People fill up their free time with addictive substances when their lives are meaningless and filled with fear and wrong ideas.

You need healthy dopamine instead of unhealthy dopamine.

"Dopamin detox" is bullocks.
