Just putting my real estate goals out their. This way I'll be held accountable if I fail in them.:fryingpan: Everyone else should add theirs too, and we can bump this thread next year to see who produced and who fell flat.
Mine are simple to write, but not as easy to do. My goal this year was to build and sell two new homes, as of right now it looks like I'll meet it. My second house is going up and hopefully will be sold soon. The first one closed in July.
Next year I'm going to push myself to increase by 50%, so I want to build and sell 3. At my price point thats a lot, thats probably about $1m in real estate, since I'm on the low end of my market. I did plan on ending my goal with that, and if I can accomplish that I will be happy, that is a nice goal. But I'm the kind of person who is very hard on themselves and never happy with what I have done. So I have decided what the heck, lets make it more challanging and give myself an ulcer in the process, lol!:smx6:
I'm going to buy a multi family property, or an interest in one. You can create wealth by building but you can't build and hold it. Thats where income producing properties come in. Eventualy I want to own a lot, but if I can buy a 2 or 3 family next year that would be a good start. I have no idea how I'm going to do this, since I don't have $200k-$300k to tie up in one, nor the credit to get a mortgage. But I don't think those problems are unsolveable so I'm going to go for it.
So to sum them up:
3 spec houses built and sold.
1 multi family purchased.
