The article has been around for a wee while, but I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts on it. The 6 points are:

#6. The World Only Cares About What It Can Get from You
#5. The Hippies Were Wrong
#4. What You Produce Does Not Have to Make Money, But It Does Have to Benefit People
#3. You Hate Yourself Because You Don't Do Anything
#2. What You Are Inside Only Matters Because of What It Makes You Do
#1. Everything Inside You Will Fight Improvement

I could not finish reading the article with all the drivel....

If you think that the world only cares about what it can get from you then, that is true for you. But not for other people that don't feel that way.

The Hippies weren't wrong. They did what they wanted which is what life is about.

This is a very negative way to look at the world.

One point that is a positive is that it wants you to look at you.

I think the article has some truths. While there are people who are truly altruistic, such as philanthropists and humanitarians, I believe most people are selfish to some degree. That's not to say that some cannot be empathetic in times of crisis, but in everyday life they're only concerned with their needs. I think social media is a good indicator of this. Look at the ratio of self absorbed posts to altruistic posts.
