YouTube - 6-Year-Old Girl Sells Lemonade to Pay for Chemo
Really a heartbreaking story. A 6 year old shouldn't have to worry about paying her hospital bills; she should be out playing. This kind of reminds me of that thread we had going about a week or so ago about billionaires who have committed to giving away half their wealth and I pointed out that it's better to do something positive with your money for other people than to give it to your children who will just end up squandering it; the best example being someone like Paris Hilton who will waste whatever money her grandfather leaves her from his hotel business. I would feel much better about myself when I finally pass if I've done some good for other people with the money that I've earned even if it's not that much money.
Anyways, what does this all have to do with business? I got to thinking that maybe someone should start a website that's based on the premise of this girls lemonade stand. People would donate money for virtual lemonade and the money would go to children with life threatening conditions whose parents cannot afford to pay their hospital bills. Of course, this would be purely for charity; anyone who seeks to profit off of something like this is a disgusting excuse for a human being. I would do it myself if I wasn't so busy at the moment; this is really something for someone who has some free time and is an honest person; not looking to profit off of money that's meant to go to sick children. Anyways, what do you all think of that idea?
